School Functioning
A selection committee of five teachers including the Head Master go personally to slum areas and persuade their parents to send their children to school. On the assurance that the school provide free education and free books, copies, uniforms, mid-day meal etc, their parents agree to their admission. By actively engaging with the community and providing the necessary resources, the school plays a vital role in giving these children a chance at a better future.
- The school is running in an unfinished building at ground level; it has 12 rooms (20 feet length and 15 width).
- The school is affiliated to the State Government up to class 8.
- There are two shifts:-
Morning Shift: Nursery to K.G. 2nd - 175 students (age 3 to 5 years),
Afternoon Shift : Class 1 to 8 - 470 students (age 6 to 15 years). - The total number of students in the current year is 645.
- Curriculum taught is according to State Government Schools.

Our Achievements

The fact that some of the students have gone on to pursue higher education in fields such as Medicine and Engineering is a testament to the transformative power of education. Maa Anandmayee Shiksha Upvan School's commitment to providing education and holistic support to slum children is making a significant difference in their lives, breaking the cycle of poverty, and empowering them to create a brighter future for themselves and their communities.There are 16 teachers and 6 other staff, Teachers are Graduates and post Graduates and are dedicated to the institution.
- We require building for 5,000 students from nursery to Std. XII.
- A college which will provide Vocational Training in order to make students self dependent.
- A Hospital with 500 beds for slum families; free of cost.
