Our Objectives
Objectives of the School
The presence of a slum area with a population of approximately 30,000 near the Shree Shree Mata Anandmayee Shiksha Upvan School highlights the socioeconomic challenges faced by the community. The school is based on the principles of "Daridra Narain Seva," which means serving the deprived or those in need. The students enrolled in the school predominantly come from the nearby slum settlements (Jhuggi Bastis). Their parents are mostly laborers who struggle to find stable employment, often working for only around 15 days in a month. These families have large households to support, which makes it difficult for them to prioritize sending their children to school over earning an income to meet their basic needs.
Unfortunately, some of the children are engaged in work with their parents or work as rag pickers, which can affect their ability to attend school regularly. These children belong to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, historically marginalized communities in India. Hindi is their mother tongue, and the medium of teaching at the school is also Hindi. Despite the challenging circumstances, it is noteworthy that the students from this background achieve a cent percent result in the Board Examinations, which is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the quality of education provided by Shree Shree Mata Anandmayee Shiksha Upvan School.
The efforts of the school to provide education to these children and uplift their lives through education and service are commendable. By offering them access to education, the school plays a vital role in breaking the cycle of poverty and providing these children with opportunities for a better future.
“Whatever work you have to do, do it with a singleness of purpose, with all the simplicity, contentment and joy you are capable of. Thus only will you be able to reap the best fruit of work. In fullness of time, the dry leaves of life will naturally drop off and new ones shoot forth.”
